Over the summer I participated in a Plien Air Paint Out which was put on by a group of artist in Downtown Bellingham WA. Every summer they give artists an opportunity to help raise awareness of the importance that art has in the community. The event takes place for two days and artists can set up their work any where off Holly street in Bellingham. It was such a fun experience to really get out in the open and allow people to see the process... what a challenge, as well... I recommend it to any person experimenting, practicing, or even those who are professionals to get out there and paint in the out doors.

Though this is not recent news I thought it would be appropriate to add this comment to this post... I am not sure if I had mentioned this, but when the gallery ran this show, the public was to vote on their favorite painting; who ever the winner would be will promote next years PAPO...and guess who won...ME :) I am truly blessed to have won and am excited for next year! Thank you to all who supported me in this endeavor:)
